What is so special about sex in a queer relationship? What needs do people with a vagina have, what needs do people with a penis have? What can/should sex mean in a relationship? What can (regular) masturbation do for our personal well-being? How do I communicate my sexual needs? Which toys are suitable for whom? We talk about our coming-out stories or problems we have/had with them in a confidential atmosphere.

All our ESA events will take place online this year. To participate you just have to register here. Shortly before the event you will receive an email from us with a link to the zoom room. We also ask you not to register for the first-years night or the Internationals` Night if you already know the Referat. A good rule of thumb is: Only register if you have never been to one of our first-years or internationals` nights.

At the last board meeting the board of the Queerreferat discussed new regulations for the handling of COVID-19, the following decisions and measures were made:

• Events should again be offered as barrier-free as possible
• There will be no more registration for events necessary.
• Also the upper limit of 10 persons, who are allowed to stay in the Ref, will be abolished. Instead, the event organizers are encouraged to keep an eye on how many people they allow to attend their events. In doing so, existing regulations are to be adhered to urgently.
• Further existing rules are:
  • 1.5 meter distance between all persons
  • Masks must be worn all the way to the seat, when going to the toilet and other movements on the premises. The mask may be taken off at the seat.
  • Furthermore, the contact details of all persons present in the Ref must be collected.
  • The Ref must still be disinfected and ventilated after each event.
  • The serving of drinks in the Ref is permitted again.

Following our last two events, we want to convert the night into a day - as colourful as possible! Everybody feeling at home under the rainbow is welcome. Our event will include favourable prices.

The “International Thursday” is a welcome evening for international students who would like to get to know the student's club Queerreferat in Aachen. We are organising events for people who self-identify as queer, homo- & bisexual or trans* and intersex. 

No matter if you have just arrived in Aachen or if you have already lived here for a while, or whether you prefer to speak German or English, you are invited to spend a nice evening with other internationals. We will provide coffee, tea and waffles for free, as well as cold drinks for a small amount of money. Members of the Queerreferat will welcome you at 8 pm at the Queerreferat and will inform you about the events that we are regularly organising. 

For one hour the Queerreferat will be reserved for international students. From 9 pm on our doors are opened for everyone.

Am kommenden Samstag, den 21. Juni 2014, findet ab 13:30 Uhr im Referat ein Drag-King/-Queen-Workshop statt.

In unserer zweigeschlechtlich geprägten Gesellschaft stellen die meisten Menschen ihr biologisches/soziales Geschlecht nicht in Frage. Wir möchten mit diesem Workshop die Chance bieten, dass ihr diese starren Rollen aufbrecht und euch selbst neu entdeckt, indem ihr euch ausprobiert. Das heißt: Du fühlst dich so, was landläufig als "Mann" bezeichnet wird? Dann zieh doch mal ein Kleid und Stöckel an! Du wolltest als Frau schon immer mal wissen, wie bequem Männerjeans sein können und wie sich ein Drei-Tage-Bart anfühlt? Dann komm vorbei und lass dich im Drag-Kinging von einer ehemaligen Kölner Referentin unterstützen, die in diesem Bereich viel Erfahrung und Material zur Verfügung stellt.

On Tuesday, 27^th May 2014, there will take place a lecture about "Homosexuality in schoolbooks" at the Queerreferat. The event starts at 8 p.m.

Considering baden-württembergian's ministry of education's plan to integrate homosexual orientation (amongst different, such as transsexuality) in schoolbooks, there are plenty of people who are currently fighting against these steps to more tolerance and acceptance concerning different lifestyles.

This lecture will treat in what extent homosexuality has been integrated in schoolbooks so far. It will be followed by an open plenum to discuss all kinds of issues around this topic.
